The Broadbeach Senior Citizens Centre Inc. was built in 1983 with funds raised by Broadbeach Rotary Club.

Originally situated at the corner of TE Peters Drive and the Gold Coast Highway the membership grew

and the centre thrived and became an important part of the local senior community.

In 1992 a proposal was put forward to construct the Gold Coast Convention Centre on the site where the Senior Citizens Centre stood. After negotiations with Gold Coast City Council and State Government, provision was made with Conrad Jupiters to build a new Senior Centre in TE Peters Drive on a section of Conrad Jupiters staff car park.

The seniors moved to an old restaurant and casino training building behind Jupiters casino in 2001 for a period of 18 months whilst the new seniors centre was constructed and the old centre was demolished.

The new building was handed over to the Management Committee in August 2003, owned by the State Government but under the administration of the Gold Coast City Council which leased part of the premises to the Management Commitee.

In 2013 with income saved, the Management Committee installed 40 Solar panels to counter rising power costs.

The maintenance and running of the centre is paid by the permanent tenant rental and casual functions held in the premises and good management practice from the Management Committee.
